Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026. We keep things simple — minimal data, no accounts, and your privacy first.
1. Information We Collect
We collect as little as possible. You do not need an account to use any part of this site. You do not need to give us your name, your email, or any other personal detail.
When you use the moon tools, your date and time inputs are processed in your browser or on our server only to compute the moon phase. We do not save these inputs in a way that is linked to you.
If you email us at our support address, we keep your email and your message for as long as needed to reply and to keep our records straight. We never sell your email address to anyone.
2. Cookies & Local Storage
A cookie is a tiny file that a website puts on your device so it can remember things about your visit, like your language choice.
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries for things like remembering your language or storing your last settings in a tool. These are strictly necessary for the site to work.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell the information stored in cookies. See our full Cookie Policy page for the details.
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are popular and which tools get used most. This helps us decide what to improve.
When we use analytics, we choose tools that do not track you across other websites, that do not sell your data, and that follow privacy laws like GDPR. We do our best to keep your visit anonymous.
4. Third-Party Services
We try to keep third-party services to a minimum. The ones we may use include privacy-friendly analytics and our email service for answering support emails.
When you click a link that takes you to another website (like NASA or Unicode), that other website has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for what they do with your information.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to ask us to fix anything wrong, and to ask us to delete your data — for example, if you have emailed us in the past and want us to remove your message.
To use any of these rights, just email us. We will get back to you, usually within 1-2 business days.
6. Children's Privacy
This site is written so that a five year old can understand it. We welcome kids, parents, and teachers.
We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. We do not ask for names, emails, or ages. If a child emails us with a question, we will reply kindly and will not save the email for marketing purposes.
If you are a parent and you think we have collected data from your child by mistake, please email us and we will delete it right away.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to keep the site safe. Our hosting uses HTTPS, which means the data between your browser and our server is encrypted.
No website is 100% safe, but we do our best. If we ever learn about a security problem, we will fix it as fast as we can and, if needed, tell the people affected.
8. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, or if you want us to delete your data, please email us at moonphaseemoji@gmail.com. We usually reply within 1-2 business days.
